Combatants Quest 2002

Date:  TBD

Kit Suppliers -----

  • All sailplanes must be constructed as 1/12 scale WWII Fighter aircraft.  WWII Fighter aircraft is defined as any fighter airplane which was built and/or utilized during WWII and meets the criteria listed below.  Kits may be used as long as they meet the 1/12 scale requirements.
  • Many of the kits listed below will not meet the requirements for this contest.  The links are being provided due the the fact that you may be able to modify the plans and/or the kits so as to comply with the rules.  (i.e.  you may purchase a Guillow's model and scan in the plans and reprint them in 1" (1/12) scale.)
  • No fiberglass, foam or EPP fuselages are permitted nor foam or EPP wings.
  • 1/2A models are pretty close to scale, you may want to look into these kits.
  • PSS (Power Slope Soar) models are 1/12 scale models with wings at 20% larger than scale.
  • 1/12 Scale Combat power planes are good starter kits that will most likely need to lose some weight.
  • Good Luck.
